Coventry has spawned not one but two genres of music that make the whole community dance together. Chris Cook celebrates the sound of Coventry, playing on sitar the most important bhangra and ska dance floor fillers as chosen by local experts. It will be a great opportunity to look, listen and enjoy the contrast between the two styles that are united by the city of Coventry and by dancing.

Expect tunes by The Specials, expect tunes by Alaap, expect a sitar concert that will certainly get your Coventrian toes tapping.

Sneha is a freelance dance performer and trainer/teacher who has trained for five years in Bollywood dance in India with Shiamak Davar and for three years in England in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Contemporary Dance. She has single handedly choreographed shows for Chester and Warrington City Councils as well as undertaken Bollywood dance workshops with Wolverhampton University, Sanjhi Indian Association and City College Coventry.

More recently, Sneha delivers Bollywood Workshops for local Cultural events in Coventry including within the Belgrade Mela at the Belgrade Theatre which was covered by the local papers and by BBC Cov Warks Radio.

She is very excited about collaborating with Chris Cook for Shoot Festival this year.
