The second band in the line-up is led by Mahendra who specialises in playing a range of hand drums from around the globe. Created especially for Sound: In Bloom Manendra formed a new group - Elephant In The Room, featuring South Indian Carnatic trained violin player Srividya Venkate; Didgeridoo player Ameet Gauher; Flautist Fenella Kelly and Miruthangham player Danujen Sivanesan. Together, they aim to recreate traditional classical/Bollywood music which blurs boundaries and explores new terrain.
